Andreas Keller

Andreas Keller holds a doctorate in political science and has been a member of the executive board for higher education and research at the Education and Science Union (GEW), the education union within the German Trade Union Confederation (DGB), since 2007. From 2013 to 2025, he was also deputy chairman of the GEW, and from 2012 to 2024, he was vice president of the European Trade Union Committee for Education (ETUCE), where he represents the GEW on its Higher Education and Research Committee. Prior to that, he worked in research and teaching from 1993 to 1999, in political consulting (German Bundestag) from 2000 to 2002, and in science management (Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin) from 2003 to 2006. He is a member of several university councils, the Accreditation Council, and the Board of Trustees of the Hans Böckler Foundation and the German National Association of Students.
