Anne Riechert is an expert on data protection law. She was a professor of data protection law and law in the information processing at the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences and the scientific head of the foundation Datenschutz and a board member of the network AI Frankfurt Rhein-Main e.V, where she initiated the working group “Ethik, Recht und Gesellschaft” (Ethics, Law and Society). She was a founding director and of the Centre Responsible Digitality (ZEVEDI) and a member of the Advisory Board for Employee Data Protection which was established by the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs to examine the requirements for an Employee Data Protection Act. Anne Riechert is the author of different studies and technical contributionsis and the editor of a commentary on the Act on Data Protection and the Protection of Privacy in Telecommunications and Digital Services (Riechert/Wilmer) which has been published by the ESV Verlag (Berlin).
Currently, she is research director for AI and Digitalization (Institute for Financial Services (iff), Hamburg) and member of the Consumer Advisory Board at SCHUFA.
