Christina Schildmann heads the Department for Research Funding at the Hans Böckler Foundation and is also responsible for its strategy concerning the work of the future.
At the Hans Böckler Foundation, she was head of the scientific secretariat of the Work of the Future Commission between 2015 and 2018 and subsequently headed the Work of the Future research unit (Forschungsstelle "Arbeit der Zukunft").
From November 2018 to January 2022, she was head of the Policy and International Affairs Department on the SPD party executive committee.
Prior to that, she worked at the Friedrich Ebert Foundation from December 2009 to June 2015 as an advisor in the Politics and Society Forum, Political Dialogue Department, where she was responsible for family policy, gender studies, and equality policy.
